Quick question. I'm about to purchase a set of Dura Ace C24 wheels for €770 from wiggle. I just want to make sure that they will be a suitable wheel for me as I'm 95 kg. if not, what wheel would you recommend for me in the same price range. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    They should be fine.

I'd reccommend a set of Carbon wheels from China, Farsports in particular -cheaper and *very* nice!

Thanks for your advice. I'll look them up. I wasn't actually looking for carbon in particular, just a good set of wheels in the sub €800 bracket. What's the best Aluminium wheelset for this price do u reckon?
    Thanks again.

I got those wheels a year ago for €669 incl shipping from bike24.de. Might be worth shopping around

For 800 notes you could get two sets solid wheels, campag zondas and mavic kysriums Elite
    http://www.4thebike.de/laufraeder/rennrad/20/mavic-ksyrium-elite
    http://www.4thebike.de/laufraeder/rennrad/7160/campagnolo-zonda-laufradsatz-modell-2013

These two sets are bomb proof, you have the zondas that will go thru anything for training and the Mavics for racing if you thats what you do,
You would still have change for two sets gp4000s tyres.

if you are buying the c24's i warn you now...buy spare spokes...of which there are 3 different lengths required for the wheelset...as the spokes are hard to find over here.
if u have spares anyone can pop them in thats good with wheels...
    excellent wheels apart from that!!

I've just replaced my old front Ultegra with a Dura Ace C24. In the interests of science & marginal gains I weighed the two (including inner tube, skewers & GP4000s).

    Dura Ace: 975g
    Ultegra: 1,145g

The difference: A lime or 70g.
Lemon was too heavy, perhaps need to spend more to get a lemon, as for an orange probably Madfiber.

Where did you get 70g from? Is it not 170g? That'd be closer to 2.5 limes.

Before buying anything on wiggle or CRC check out Bike24 and BikeComponents.de as they're generally cheaper by a good bit. I bought a set if fulcrum quattros a few weeks ago that were arou d the €340 on CRC and I got them for €254 delivered from bikecomponents.de (wheels were €234 shipping was €20)

:( Oops. At least that makes me feel a little better about the upgrade. Although losing 5,500g since January puts bike weight in perspective.
