Whats the best price point for bringing cars in from the UK?

Car shopping has me demented atm. Is €15k a large enough budget to go shopping in the UK? Is it possible to get a 2010 A4/A6, C Class Merc, 3 Series with a decent spec back to Ireland including VRT for €15K?

Spec on cars in general is meant to be much better in the UK.

On some (maybe most) models, but there are cases where the Irish spec is better too.

The exchange rate and VRT is a factor as well of course. Depends what you're thinking of buying really.

The budget is irrelevant, you could go to the uk with 3k and come back with a capable high mileage daily driver.

You need to decide what you want first then start shopping both here and in the UK,do your home work on spec levels available, check the VRT and go for it.

I doubt you will get a decent A6 etc with a decent spec landed and cleared for that budget however. The UK is not always cheaper but you will nearly always get a better car.
