Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    howdy all,
Ive found an old trumpet that was discarded, its got a wee bit of damage that i would like to get fixed..

Ive got all the parts.. what has happened is the lead pipe has come away just behind the finger hook ring just before the tuning slide.

some of the struts / supports are therefore broken as well..

The bell is also a little bent, but surprisingly not too bad.

    Can anyone recommend a doctor?

Does it play at all now or is it totally banjaxed? I'm not sure where you are based but McCullough Pigott used to do repairs in Dublin, probably still do. Also Paul Ryan Music in Templebar does repairs but I think he'll only service instruments actually bought there.

yeah it can still play, the keys are in need of oil but other than that its just cosmetic damage..

I can also recommend McCollough Piggott. Very good work, and fair price normally.
