Any recommendations for a trim restorer which gives a matt finish? Looking to do the new black dash in my E36 - its slightly sun bleached.

Have autoglym vinyl and rubber care, and a megs trim product - but neither give a flat finish.

    Cheers

    You'll get a refresher sweet ;)

The best thing about the C4 is that it brings trim back to the way it should be i.e. no extra/less gloss than when it was brand new.

That sounds perfect - was just keen to avoid having a glossy dash.

I've been hearing a lot about this gtechniq stuff too.

Hope it helps you, would you be able to throw up a picture or two of the results? I would be very interested in seeing this working.

No problem - might be a while before I get around to doing it though!

Love Hearts - must admit, they're not a favourite of mine - I think Larry must be trying to send me a message though. :D

Very quickly used some of this today - unfortunately there's no before picture though. This part was pretty badly faded - approaching white in parts. Very quick application and it looked great.

Plastic arches on the civic are gone kinda matt grey, I assume this'd be the stuff for them?

There's tar on bits, sure tar remover (Wurth) won't do any arm to the plastic will it?

Yep it'll do the job alright - its around EUR28.95 for 15ml of it though - so don't spill any.

As in 3 Calpol spoonfuls? Does a little go a long way?

Haha yes - theres not much of it to go round. It gives decent coverage alright, but I'll be doing my dash board and can't imagine there'll be enough of it to go round.

Should be fine for the exterior trims though.

You'll have enough to do your dash. A drop or two will do 2/3 of a bumper the size of the one on a Hyundai Santa Fe.

Decided to treat a small bit of trim to give you guys a decent before / after example. Even managed to fit a before and after shot into one photo - impressive!

These rear trims have been going white for years -

Have brand new ones to go on anyway - so thats all the attention they're getting!

Yep - definitely does the job. Will save me from doing some small paintwork on the window trim on my E30 too.
