Anyone know if I can get a fitting or adapter for either of these pumps to fit the tubes that I have?

Or do I need to buy a new hand pump?
    If so which one?

    thanks

(apologies for the newbie question) :)

The pump in the background looks right for the tube, have you opened the screw valve on the tube?

The little mini screw cap inserted into the valve.

I did open the screw cap and the pump does fit on but it feels a tiny bit loose and when I pump the air seems to go out the sides.

The thumb lever on the pump usually has to be down to place it on the valve and then flicked up to seal it in place or vice versa.

There should be a rubber grommet that squeezes around the valve when the lever tightens.

On a side note, it'll take you all day to get 120psi into a road tube with a hand pump, I'm assuming it's a road bike.

The back pump look like the one alright. Once you push it over the valve you need to click the locking mech at the back or air will escape.

Another reason for the air coming out could be that is it a schrader value (like the other pump), but it either comes with an adapter or the nossle turns, etc to make it a presta (what the tube is) pump.

    Thank you.
Thats what it was. I'd to remove the internal fitting and switch it around.

Will I get enough air in to get me home (max fourty minutes but I also have puny girl arms)
    thanks

If you have a road bike you really need to get a proper pump with a gauge. Small hand pumps are great for emergencys and will get you home fine but just make sure you get a lot of pressure in there otherwise you risk getting a puncture if you hit a pothole hard.
