If it exceeds the limit you probably will not get rent allowance for the apartment. The limits are easily checked online so it is always a good idea to check them before you move into a new place to make sure you can get rent allowance. You won't be kicked out, but you probably wont receive any assistance with the rent. You could always negotiate the rent with the landlord.

i have already negotiated the price with the landlord and she said she can write down that the apartment im payin for is the going rate for the rent allowance but realistically its not, now they need the lease which has the full amount on it. im lost

Sorry but that's illegal and they DO care.
If you lie on the RA form and are caught, you'll be in serious trouble, OP.

Agreed - this is fraud and if you are caught you are at minimum looking at paying back every cent of rent allowance you are given. When people suggest you negotiate, it means you get the rent lowered, not you pretend to get the rent lowered.

since the rent supplement was decreased they have been very nonchalant about this, but technically it is illegal so i will be deleting my post and hope you will delete the quote.
