The plane's landing gear screwed up and causing delays in LaGuardia.
New York’s LaGuardia Airport has closed Monday after a Southwest Airlines flight lost its wheels on landing. The landing gear under the nose of the plane, which was arriving from Nashville, Tennessee, collapsed as the aircraft was pulling into the gate.

While at least a dozen emergency vehicles were on hand at the scene, only a small number of passengers reported minor injuries. They were seen exiting the plane via inflatable slides.

Heavy delays were reported, with the airport temporarily refusing incoming flights.

Would all these recent plane events deter you from flying or make you even queasier?

The opposite in fact, nothing like a few accidents to tighten up the safety procedures.

Brendan grace does a great stand up talking about flying...

He said when you go to the airport they don't make it happy with things like first thing you see is.

    Terminal,
    Last call,
    Final departure....

Where would you like to sit Mr Grace...I want to sit next to the black box or preferably in it....:D

Would all of the car accidents deter you from riding in a car?

Ever since I heard about the first car crash when I was a wee toddler, I swore never to enter a car in my life.

    Now I avoid...

    Bicycles,
    Cars,
    Buses,
    Planes,
    Blimps,
    Balloons,
    Hovercraft.

So yes, it's had a huge effect.

The Boeing 747 was carrying 149 passengers...

Oh dear lord, now that's just poor journalism.

    Here's a better WSJ article.

And shrink itself in size by 40% + lose a whole upper deck :pac:

Also according to most sources the aircraft had landed, the nose gear collapsed while taxiing off the runway..barely a crash landing.

Do you take more Xanax before you drive to work? Statistically you'll need a lot more.

I will be feeling a lot more relaxed about it. You should never drive after taking xanax.

I personally bless myself every time I pass a point where someone died in an accident - it helps remind me to slow down more than you'd expect

Could well cause an accident taking your hands of the wheel at these accident black spots.
