I Have Look Keo Cleats and Specialised shoes and there's a click coming from them. It seems to be the spd screw plate has come loose in the shoe and its moving - anyone have this problem. It doesn't seem to be doing any damage, just a bit annoying!!

If its loose, can you not just tighten it?

I wasn't aware there was a removable plate in anything but SPD shoes? Anyway, if this interface was loose, you probably wouldn't be able to unclip, a loose cleat wouldn't have enough resistance.

Keos squeak and click, there are some good articles on their construction floating around. If you want solid, go with Shimano.

They have this kind of sole, which has holes for the Look cleats and also two holes in the bottom of the shoe, under which seems to be a plate for holding a, I presume, a spd cleat (with four holes). There is a plate inside the shoe with the "female" holes for the screws/bolts? (see picture below)th?id=H.4765658126026015&pid=1.7&w=233&h=150&c=7&rs=1

You could probably put a screw into one of the holes to keep it in place.

Would have to be big enough to hold it through the sole and I think that might get in the way of the actual cleat/bolt?

Depends on the head of the bolt and if there is any space between the cleat and the shoe. You would want a bolt with a flat head. Either that or glue the plate into place.
