    Hi

I am with 123.ie and last year I had a small accident and I talked to 123.ie but at the end I decided not to use my insurance and fix teh car myself and they promised me on the phone that this will not be in my record however ı just received my no claim no bonus cert and I can see that this is recorded on my claims history :/

    Date of Loss : 12/12/2012
Details Status MM - Accidental Damage to Insured's vehicle
    Status: Settled
    Amount Paid: €0.00

I am now changing my insurer but I am afraid this will effect my new isurer quote.

What should I do in this case ?

have you called a new insurer for a quote? And asked them will it affect it?

Yes and I actually went ahead and I have a new insurer but they want my no claims no bonus proof within 7 days.

I just do not understand why would they put it in my claims history even though I did not claim it ! :/

    Any Suggestions ?

Ask 123 how no claim equals a claim? I'm thinking someone f**ked up, and never fixed it....?

If you report a claim then it's logged against you.

As it was a "No Claim" then it won't be considered as a claim by your new insurer as no claim was made.

Your NCB cert should have been enclosed with your renewal documentation. Check it again and you'll find it. Sign it and send it off to your new insurer.

Hi Jamjam. This is normal with all insurance companies. You are obliged to notify your insurer of any accidents when they happen and they just take a note of it. Your new insurance company will know this and will see that the claim was settled with a nil payment, ie it is just for notification purposes. It will not affect your no claim bonus or affect any future insurance company quoting.

And you were expecting to have two years? If so then everything is fine.
