illness benefit and depression

I would like to know if I am eligible to apply for illness benefit due to anxiety and depression I am seeing a doctor and psychiatrist for both for many years. I was made redundant from long term employment 2 years ago and have done a fas internship since, but I am out of work for the last few months I was on jobseekers but it has now ran out.

Since then my illness has been worse I am now seeing a psychologist along with the doctor and psychiatrist as my deperssion is quite bad. I am not on any benefit and living off savings and my husbands earnings my GP and medication bills are quite high as I am on a high dose of medication. One big stress in my life is living off the one wage and I am wondering if I am entitled to anything due to my illness.

Do you get a claim form through your Doctor? Is it means tested or how does it work? Any information would be grateful. Thanks

You will need to get the forms from your gp,you may get illness benefit if you have enough stamps for 2011.
