Apollo are pretty horrendous bikes. A false economy. It would be alright if your plan was to go to the shops once a week on it.

A Carrera from halfords would be a better bet. Or second hand.

Christy - is she restricted in where she buys the bike do you know? Are her employers paying somebody else to administer the scheme or will they just write out a cheque/use the company credit card for her?

Is her budget €300 before or after the tax deduction, i.e. how much money can she budget to lose out of her pocket. A second hand bike for €200 could be a lot better than a new bike at €300.

Thanks for the replies. I reckon we might look second hand.

There are some 2011/2012 carrera TDFs on sale in halfords for about €313 at the mo.
