I picked up that cab off adverts at the weekend.
It needs a lot of love!
    most of all a monitor.
It has a 15" tube in it but no chassis.
Acording to the Jamma+ lads its needs a handtrex chassis at about 65 pounds.

But 65 is a lot and I'd like a bigger screen if possible.
So I was thinking about getting a TV off adverts and maybe just use a super gun ?

    What do ya's think?

    link to the cab.

whats the story with jamma to scart?

Jamma video to Scart is easy enough to do once you know which end of the soldering iron to hold :)

The video signals need to dropped to Scart levels with a few resistors (or pots).

Jamma Pin 12 (RED) to Scart Pin 15 via a 500 Ohm pot
Jamma Pin N (GREEN) to Scart Pin 11 via a 500 Ohm pot
Jamma Pin 13 (BLUE) to Scart Pin 7 via a 500 Ohm pot
Jamma Pin P (SYNC) to Scart Pin 20 via a 1K resistor *
12V to Scart Pin 8 (Switches TV to AV mode 4:3)
5V to Scart Pin 16 via a 180 Ohm resistor (selects RGB input mode)

    * Pin 20 is the SYNC input on the TV, but Pin 19 is the SYNC output on a Scart socket as Scart cables have a crossover for the composite sync

Make sure you can adjust the horizontal positioning on the TV first though as some portables have really bad sync shift.

    Fair play dude!
Any TV brand in particular I should look out for?
On the Hori positing on the tv. Would this be an internal pot?

I wanna get the ball rolling on this project asap.
going to start by sorting out the garage later :(

No idea to be honest, I've couple of different TVs at home and only 1 of them is adjustable with the remote (via service menu). Not opened them up for a look at the pots though.
You should be able to dig up service manuals for most of them now though.

I've used ferguson and black diamond(Mitsubishi, service menu accessed using remote to adjust hor/vert)

Make sure you write a will before you start fiddling with CRT's, just in case you cook yourself!
