Im absolutely broke and in debt up over my head, in what I see as a dead end job and losing motivation more and more everyday. How do I put my life back together?

I'll move your thread to Personal Issues, adr1984, as you will receive more appropriate answers from members of that forum. Best of luck with your situation.

Maybe start with MABS? If you deal with the debt, things will start to improve.

    Hi OP,

You're not alone with these problems, so don't feel you are the only one - you're not and you will get through this tough time.

Yes go and make an appointment with MABS - they will help you.

Dead end job - well as I'm sure people are very quick to tell you, "you're lucky to have a job" right now. And you are, but that's not enough to stop the dead end feeling. So what you need to do is think about what kind of career you would love, and take steps now to achieve that so when the economy recovers you will be in a prime position to improve your career and your finances too.

Don't panic about either - with calmness, perspective, patience and perseverance (and most importantly, a sense of humour) you will get through it.

Have you tried looking for another job? Things might not be great out there but there are always people hiring.

December 2012's advice is good too. If it's possible to do so, try enhancing your existing skills or gaining new ones by doing courses, distance learning etc.
