    Doable.

It's possible to pass the test with 5 months driving experience from scratch without any faults at all, having only done the 12 prescribed lessons.

However, you will need regular practice, and to push yourself to drive all the time with the right procedures (which is what you should be doing anyway.) Don't think of your practice as just something you're doing to pass a test, you're doing it because these things actually help with awareness and skill.

Thats terrible advice . The 12 hours of lessons are not meant to get people to test standard.
All through the EDT guide it states that 12 hours are generally not enough to undertake a test.
17 Years teaching people how to drive and i can tell you that most people will not pass with less than 40-50 hours driving practice.

Might want to re-read my post. I said the 12 lessons are enough with regular practice in-between.

Yes it is possible in 5 months but practice, practice, practice is the key. Your 12 lessons are a must and after that I am afraid you will have to find regular access to a car you can practice in. Passing the test is only one part of being a competent driver, being familiar with good road manners and driving procedures is just as important. The very best of luck to you anyway.
