Social Life at DCU

    Where are the hotspots everyone in DCU go out in? Night life like! How much are taxis also? Do they always go to city centre? Also if you were chilling during the day is the place to go city centre?

    Depends on what you're into really. NuBar in the college runs the odd late night event (although not to the extent of older years). The SU also runs events throughout the year, like the Christmas and Summer ball. They usually have a good turn out.

    As for going into town, Dublin has a good choice of clubs and pubs to go to. Quinns and the Big Tree in Drumcondra are pretty popular since they're relatively close and not too expensive. The city centre itself is full of clubs, and you'll likely find something there you'd like. Taxi fare from the city centre can be around €25 depending on the day and traffic.

    Personally speaking, I usually hang around the Helix or the Hub. The city centre has a bus service every 10 minutes or so from the DCU front gates, and it's fairly cheap. Omni is just up the road too if you want to go catch a movie or something like that.
