This is the first can of tuborg i have got a taste of dog from in the last week.

Anyone know why people call it a taste of dog and why ? Tastes rough.

Is it when the beers are left out for delivery in the heat and sun that makes them taste like this or is it from the aluminium ? I hope the rest are grand or else there will be war i tells ye :(

You sure it's not the hair of the dog you're on about?

Nah, that's the curer, i'm accustomed to that, but again why do they call it another part of the dog as for the curer ? i'm all hot and bothered over this.

Edit: I will have to e-mail tuborg customer care about this, as everyone is saying it but no-one knows why the dog comes into it. Very strange.

QI Did you know Guinness is known as Black Dog Beer in some Asian countries.
The label used to feature a black dog or wolf and older people who liked stout either couldnt read the name or pronounce the English so called it "Hak Gau Peh", Black Dog Beer, to this day.

Interesting question. The first thing that came into my tweety pie head was Dog, it tastes like dog after you rub one, now i have a dog and he got his pet earlier but how could that get into an un-opened can of tuborg ?

Doesn't a twat taste of scampi fries and 9 volt batteries ?

Tuborg is manky. If it tastes like a dog licked the top of the can you've probably got a better tasting beer.

Well it will be Lech beer tomorrow for sure, the best of polish beer to me anyway, just got a second dog beer out of that tuborg pack, drinking it nonetheless :(

Lech is my offie beer of choice these days. 5 bottles for a tenner round my way. I couldn't hack Tuborg again, but if it was the only thing in the fridge I probably would. Chin chin!

Are you sure it's not Dogbolter Original Ale that you were drinking? Had some at the Munich Beerfest a few years ago and the first five or six pints tasted a little doggy. Funnily enough the next five or six slipped down easily. :D

Is pretty fcuked up where they derived the name from too; Tumour of a Cyborg so you'd have to wonder what goes in. Gives it that manky metallic taste. At least out of a can it does,

Have you tried Lech ? polish beer, i think that is very nice beer. I haven't tried many others to date but shout out a few beers that you people think are nice but not too heavy of a beer. Will probably try a few of them out next weekend.

I tried spatan and wasn't into that one, i tried staropremen and that was ok sort of. Becks i think is a very nice beer, even from the can, a bit dear though.

I've counted 7 all reasonable choices, although 6 of them are mass produced. Dogbolter , staropramen and Becks are the only class labels imho.

Maybe you should stick to the buds & pabst blue ribbon Madsl ;)

You will get free beer when you complain.

I just wish boards worked this way when you reported posts.

    Top tip:

Buy a couple of good beers. Sip on these first, after that pile into cheap sh!te. They'll taste marginally more acceptable.

Never mind the man making love to his tonic and gin, i decided to purchase 14 500ml bottles of Lech, and it was worth it, damn nice when chilled i must say, but @ €1.89 a bottle i'm a bit low on cash but still worth it as the icy cold Lech liquid touches my pallet with bursting aroma.

Truth! I don't think Tuborg tastes bad though. Its kinda like Carlsberg light. I'd drink it over Bud or Bavaria any day.

Have you tried Tyskie? Same deal as Lech but its 5.6%.

I tried tyskie but couldn't get into it, didn't like the taste but Lech has got to be the best, it wipes tuborg and all the rest i mentioned away.

I'd rather spend the extra few quid if i have it for good tasting beer than purchase an extra few cans of not so nice beer for the same money.

Don't get me wrong, i think tuborg is actually a nice beer but for some reason every summer i get a weird dog taste from it, but in autumn and winter tuborg seems to be very good and clean.

Yeah no doubt you cant beat a good Czech or Polish beer.

It's impossible for me to levitate in body form to the moon, and it is also impossible for all beers to taste the same ;)

    Incredibly incorrect.

Yeah, that's more closer to explaining it, it's like smelling a wet dog ;) we are getting closer to the formula answer.

I think we need a whistle-blower from tuborg to tell us what exactly is going into this drink.
