For rabbits, Opinal No.7.

Cheap, sharp, very easy to maintain

Good quality knives are still sh1te if you don't maintain the blade. Learn to keep

your blades sharp and you'll have no problems skinnng .

Knife blades must be maintained, I use knives in my line of business on a daily basis and although good quality knives make the job easier well maintained economy knives with still do the job.

Seen one lad with an expensive Irish hand made knife, beautiful workmanship, but completely dull, not worth a Damn.

IMO go for the less expensive knives, less buyers remorse and tears when you lose it in the field.

Why spend a lot on knives when they get lost and mis placed so easy? Im a big believer in Opinel knives. I have a few that I picked up from just browsing in shops and I had to buy something. I have one I used for the past 5 years and it only cost me €7 ! I run it through the sharpener 3 or 4 times before I go out and its sharper than it needs to be. No point spending big money on a knife and then losing it getting through a ditch or something

The Opinel are cheap and will get the job done, come in carbon and stainless blades. A good pocket knife to carry with you and you won't cry when you loose it.

Also look at the Mora Frost range. Again cheap and very good fixed blade with colourful handle so you can find it.
