    Good trailer..

... no sign of The Governor though!

The zombies seem to be more of a threat, judging by that trailer. Also disappointed by the lack of Governor.

I'm actually delighted they've put more focus on zombies like season 1 and 2, looks alot more promising than I expected!

The SDCC trailers only focus really on the first 3-4 episodes the governor and woodbury dont appear in full until episode 6 "Rise".

Also Kirkman promised that walkers will become much more dangerous and prominent months ago

Looks like the walkers are becoming too much to cope with at the prison and they have to move on. Its good that they dont seem to be staying there as that storyline should have been wrapped up at the end of S3. The makers did hint that the walkers are more of a threat this season but Im more worried about the overall direction the show will take- is it just a take to the streets and survive season or will they finally learn more about the origins of the disease and if there are any other survivors who are working on a cure etc? Time will tell...

This will never happen IMO. The whole point of the comic over a hundred issues in is that the cause of and cure for the epidemic is irrelevant, nobody ever comes close to hypothesising on it. I know the show is taking its own path, but half of what makes it stand out from other entries into the zombie genre is the lack of anyone even trying to find a cure. Milton doing his zombie research is already ten times more focus on "understanding" the zombies than any character has done in the comics. Not saying they definitely won't look down this avenue, but as long as Kirkman is involved I doubt they will because he has always been adamant that it is irrelevant to the stories he wants to tell

As for that trailer, it looks like Tyreese is getting his moment from the comics
when he takes out the entire gym full of walkers, except now he's getting swarmed outside by the car. The look of defeat on his face when he is still in the car while everyone is out fighting the walkers as well as the teaser shot of him walking out into a yard and making a horrible discovery suggests to me that his missus gets killed, as opposed to his daughter in the comic, and that's what sparks his one man army moment.

I also have a bad feeling Carol is in danger this season. Maybe they'll use that as an oppurtunity to make up for the complete lack of mourning on Daryl's part last season.

Tyreese's gym scene occurs in E3. Also Sasha is his baby sister not his missus lol!

Knew she wasn't his daughter anyway! To be honest I've little interest in the character due to how much they changed them from his comic book counterpart and now seem to be retrofitting him to that role this season. Though I can see how the popularity of Daryl meant that he couldn't just walk right into the group

Looks promising. They have a lot of redeeming to do after an abysmal final few episodes of Series 3.

I watched it direct on YouTube last night, didn't see this thread. Really wish I hadn't have watched it tbh as it gave far too much away imo.

That trailer actually looks good. I had given up on TWD, I hope the Governor doesn't make a come back though, his antics got boring for me last season. I always wanted the walkers to be more of a threat. I think that's why I liked the scenes with them in it more than person vs person scenes.

Genuine spoilers are very hard come by this season. There will not be another Walker Sophia/Merle style spoilers anymore. AMC is cracking down hard. This week the cast have left Georgia they are having their mid-season break.
Also I havn't seen it here but confirmed thar the Prison group has grown due to an intake of college students. One of whom Luke is seen in the premier. Anyone else wants any of the harder spoilers pm me. I'm not fully sure what I'm permitted to say here.

I realise that the show and the comics are on different wave lengths but what about the game? Michonne looking on the map had Macon on it. It could easily and probably just a casual nod to the rest of the Walking Dead universe, or just a common spot and happy coincidence, but I am curious to see if it will develop into more.

This season does look like it will be alot more interesting, even if the bus load of Woodbury in the prison does make alot of red shirts.
