Zadar, Zagreb & Croatia in general

    Hi guys, heading off to Croatia for two weeks at the start of August :D

    Flying into Zadar, looking for things to do and places to go, preferrably to the north, islands are all good, anything with beaches and sea swimming, good food of course
    Has nayone been to Zagreb, have read mixed reviews from it being one of the top 5 best kept secrets in europe to it being a hole to completely avoid!

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Zagreb is somewhere in the middle. Nothing special about it but it has a nice little center like most cities.

    I would advise going to the plitvica lakes, they are awesome.

    You have istra to explore in the north, pula and rjieka are two small cities

    There is some big national park near pula that i didnt go to but it sounded good

    Go to the islands and lakes and skip zagreb would be my advice!
