Is anyone else being asked to redo this despite sending of details before and being cleared ? They tell me it is just random but I would like to know if that is the case or if they are doing lots of people. Seems odd that it would be happening just after Ladbrokes taking over and I have had the account for a few years with no hassle.

    Can you refuse?

Ask them what grounds they want the info?

The account opening documentation should suffice. They can also take comfort that you made a lodgement via a credit card and that your bank has KYC polices in place.

The grounds that they state are that they are entitled to ask under their terms and conditions, I only use it for small bets , currently have bet running on Tiger and one other so if they lose and their are no funds on the account they can get stuffed.

It was not account opening documentation they had it was copies of my passport etc that you normally give for know your customer hence my disgust they are requesting it again, and failing to give a reason why, after me using the account for several years.

If it's in their t&c's, then your stuck. But if you've already provided and they've lost them?

I'd be very concerned about passing across a copy of my passport to a third party on the net, especially when they cannot locate the copy I already gave them. Are your passport being sold on to a crook in Abuja? I'd make a formal complaint if I were you. Could be a data protection breach.

Now they are saying it is because I updated my address, this was done 6 months ago so are really on the ball there !!. They have told me via e mail that anytime I do a change of my details such as address that they will require documentation to be re- submitted. They are also saying it is to do with the Alderney Gambling Control Commission regulations so I have checked that out as well but they only have to do checks when I opened the account as per their regulations and then monitor the account afterwards for anything irregular. I only have very small turnover on the account which would amount to less than 200 deposited in the current year so it has nothing to do with money laundering regulations. I have no intention of going through that hassle everytime just for they sake of a few small bets especially as they seem to keep changing their minds as to why and what they require. Now they have dropped the request for my passport but have suspended the account.
