Running a draft league for 6-8 players

Is anyone here familiar with or have any experience and advice with running a draft league for the season?
6-8 of us interested, basically no-one can have the same player on their team at anyone time, using the fpl site for all points etc but i figure we need to have online spreadsheet to keep track of who owns which player and log any transfers that are made so the others can be aware of players taken/available etc.
Unsure of how to have it run smoothly, in particular with any transfers etc. Do any members here have a spreadsheet they use for their own draft?
What do we need to be aware of for it to run smoothly?
Any helpful tips/links to available spreadsheets websites etc most welcome

I'm actually working on a Google Docs to run an FPL Draft league and was going to post it on here!

Are you looking to run one on Boards? If so I reckon we can work it together, if not I'll do one myself.

My initial idea was to take away the highest points scorer from each team last year and draft the rest between 10 teams (Snake Draft). You're only allowed to transfer if one of your players gets flagged (injury/suspension)

I have a lot of experience with draft process from Fantasy Baseball each year (do maybe 6/7 drafts per year) and I've always wanted to do one for FPL.

So if you want to leave it with me I'll try and work through the spreadsheet today and then can share it with you

Just interested in running private league to be honest, we feel 6-8 of us who meet each other regularly would be managable with a suitable spreadsheet so i would be fascinated to see what you come up with! yes a snake draft system is our idea but the spreadsheet is key to manage it with transfers etc. i only have minimal spreadsheet skills so keeping track of what players are owned or available etc outside y skillset! be delighted to see what you come up with if u can post it here or by private message! thanks a million!

A boards fpl draft would be good for the banter....I would be happy to organise but don't have the excel know how to run the backend....anyone interested in partnering on setting this up?

Sorry I never got back to the OP on this. I didn't get the google docs done as it didn't allow for the same formulas I used in excel. I figured docs would be perfect as it could be shared online and tracks who updates what.

I'm definitely interested in helping and organising but I would like a 10 team league

You would have to get rid of captains in a draft league. Teams having RVP or Bale as captain each week would have far too much of an advantage.
