Eircom fixing faulty line

Our phone line & broadband is down and we contacted eircom. Their phone service was nice and efficient. They said that someone would be out in 2 working days but the guy on the phone would say no more, for obvious reasons I suppose. I don't want to come across as anal for looking for an exact time; it's just that the weekend will prolong the 2-day period to 4 and I work from home using the phone & internet line pretty much all the time!

So if anyone in the Dublin area has had an engineer out recently; have you found it to be a prompt service?

    Many Thanks

You can also pay a bit extra (in or around €2 extra) on line rental in the future to get a 7 hour business day repair should this happen again. Sort of like an insurance fee type thing.

They call it 7 House Business Day Repair or something.
