Graphics tablets

Anyone have any experience with graphics tablets? I've been toying with getting one for a while now, as it's something I'd like to get to grips with.
I'm not looking for anything pro, and I'm on a very tight budget.
I've seen some cheap (sub-€100) ones online, but I've no experience in how good they'd be.
Are there any worth picking up, or is it not worth bothering with if I can't go the whole hog and get a pricey model?

I'd get a proper one. Better support in the programs you are using and better quality.

A nice wacom, you can pick them up second hand cheap enough.
