Can't wait for the concluding 8 episodes of Breaking Bad! On the other hand I will be quite sad when the whole thing ends. It's been a hell of a ride.

**SLIGHT SPOILER (for anybody catching up on the series, that is)**

I'm still wondering how the flash forward seen at the beginning of Se05ep01 will tie into the events to come if at all. Did I miss something with that? Did Gilligan ever elaborate? I have been holding the theory that this scene was something of a red herring and actually referred to events that take place after the series ends with my reasoning being the time elapsed (Walter is shown 'celebrating' his 52nd birthday, and he has a full head of hair). That idea appeals to me because it suggests that things continue in some way shape or form after the series has officially concluded and Walt does not die. It also means that the series could be re-visited at some time once in a while, maybe a mini series or a movie, and there could be a further exploration of the chaos that makes up the world of one Walter White.

I think it was said the flash forward will be the opening to the final episode

Would've thought they'd like to keep things open ended going into the last 8, from the writers' perspective. That would mean they'd have to figure out how it leads up to that scenario. Would have thought the writers would want to give themselves as much of a blank canvas as possible. That's not exactly a complaint because that cold opening hinted at something pretty exciting but I still think it would be a bit of strange decision to include it if it really is telling us something about the conclusion of the series.

I cant find the source where I had read it now, it was weeks ago so I'm not 100% on that now.

Well, if the Saul Goodman spinoff goes ahead maybe

Honestly, I think he's going to die though , you know "all bad things must come to an end" but I've no doubt it will be epic! :)
