    Hi All,

I went with a bull recommended by my local AI man, he is DBZ, a white Belgian Blue Bull on Blackwhiteheads just wondering typically what colour calves could I most likely expect from this pairing typically?

    Thanks in advance

I wouldn't have thought they'd remain that true to the dam in terms of colouring, but maybe so thats why I asked. I was hoping someone would tell me that I would likely get blue and white coloured calves. :)

Black and white and blue all over.............

My guess..... white heads with blue/roan bodies. More blues than roans.

It won't matter really so long as they have the muscle :)

year 1 cow 1 had an all white bull calf
year 2 cow 1 had an all black bull calf

year 1 cow 2 had an all black heifer
year 2 cow 2 had an all white bull

One thing that will never be lost is a white head!
If either bull or cow has it, the calf will have it.

We must have the exception that proves the rule so.
A black bb calf out of a black whitehead cow by a white blue bull.

Have a few black whitehead cows here and about half of them breed a solid colour calf to a lim. It's hard to call with them.

Here's one I prepared earlier. I can't think of the AI code of the bull, it was an AI BB though.

The calf was under the 7 days ( I'm sure), the mammy must have between sets. She's long gone, probably 7 years or so. Upon closer inspection I see the cow has one tag in the picture.
