Left the door of my Peugeot 407 open and the wee fella (age 3) managed to gain access "under the radar" .....
Anyway, long story short, he got great pleasure in putting any loose coinage into the CD slot of the stereo!! Aaaagghhh!! I've no idea how many are in there but needless to say it now not working. Any ideas on how to get them out without having to pay the local dealer any more cash to fix this car!!!!
Thx in advance for your help and suggestions!

Best thing is to hold the car vertical and shake it till the coins fall out. Make sure to give it a good shake.

Seriously, maybe a thin magnet on a bit of bent hanger?

Unfortunately this is all too common :o
You need to take CD player out.
Open it up or try to shake the coins out.

I see this complaint on a regular basis. Remove radio from car. Lift off top lid. The cd mechanism is held down with 4 screws ---- remove them. Lift up mechanism and release connecting cable. You should be able to see any coins and a small tweezers will be a help to remove them. Do not use clothes hanger because if you scrape the laser a bigger problem will occur

Lift up the front of the car, so the cd slot is facing down. Shake gently until all the money falls out. Failing that, it may be easier to take out the cd drive first.

Check to see if that model radio requires a code before you disconnect it.

this video shows someone removing the stereo but it seems so straight forward there's probably no need to watch it.

The cd player should come apart quite easily when you do get it out, just be careful and pay attention to how things fit together.

    20 minute job.
