Need (internal replacement) fan for laptop

    Hey all,

    Fan went on a friends Sony Vaio laptop (picture of fan), and I'm wondering where I could get a replacement? It's 52mm across, and I think only 10mm high. The odd thing is that it's power is to be from a small two pin female connector (which itself is tiny).

    I would say Ebay could be your best bet to get it at an affordable price .

    Recently I was in the same dilemma.. Best bet is to google the model number of the laptop and see what places come up.. There's a lot of smallish uk and European sites that sell laptop parts. I got my fan from www.lappyparts.co.uk in the end at a quite affordable price and fast delivery too

    Sometimes with eBay it can be painfully slow with delivery just be sure to where it's shipping from

    After that adverts may have some

    It looks like one of these, most of the parts sites seem to ship from Hong Kong.

    A bit of digging should turn one up.

    Found that one of the lads on adverts had one from a similar laptop :) But whilst on ebay, found a DC adapter (the charger port), so may get that in the future sometime.
