Digger repair question....

Need to bore out the housing for a pin in my digger as the housing itself is worn and a bushing will not fit into it properly.

Is there any way to bore a 3" hole 3" deep on site.... i.e. without dismantling the digger. I'd really prefer not to have to take it apart as there is loads of ripping required.

Proper order would be to take it to a guy with a milling machine. Last resort I might have to.... But I'm hoping one of you clever fellows might have a better idea!!

Would an expanding reamer take enough out to allow a machined bushing bring hole back to standard size?

Or perhaps a magnetic mount drill with one of those end mill type cutters they use?

Or there are mobile machining guys who can bore out an engine block without taking it out of the tractor, perhaps one of those could suggest something?

Just guessing at this stage, in case you hadn't noticed!

I think Line boring is what you need.Look it up on youtube.
Both of these companies are based in Ireland and can do it.
Doubt if it will be cheap though........

its not going to be a cheap job but I can highly recommend the guy Pakalasa recommends in the post above. The machinery needed for this type of work is eye watering expensive
