I do love Bulmers. Not a mad fan of Koppaberg. I found a new cider, it's made by the Armagh Cider Company, called Maddens Mellow. Anyone have any ideas where it might be stocked? Tesco and O'Briens dont have it..

Its not that widely available at all, only noticed it in the odd wine bar in Cork. Have you tried the orange labelled stonewell? think its far nicer.

That's the medium dry one. It's gorgeous. Saw it recently in an offlicence for €3.99 though

Kopparberg don't seem too bothered to advertise this cider but it really is lovely!

Always find Kopperberg very sweet. Like drinking Cidona. That being said, if there's no Corona available, I'd be a big fan of it accompanying a BBQ.

Excellent mate! I love this stuff and always thought it was at bit over priced especially in pubs!!

    Cheers,

Tesco Dundrum is sold out of 500 ml Kopparberg Naked Apple bottles for €1.25.

But they have lots of 500 ml Bulmers Spiced Apple and Honey bottles for €1.25!

Anyone tried this one? Is it nice?

    [Bulmers best before Feb 2014]

Right, we've a bbq on Saturday with a good few cider drinkers.

If I decide to save a few sheckles and get the Kopperberg, am I gonna have a torrent of abuse/gawk from the ciderers?

It's different to their other ciders, it's not as sweet, i'd say you'll be grand.

The "Naked Apple" isn't nearly as sweet as the original Kopparberg, much more drinkable.
Superquinn have an offer for 4 Stella Cidre cans at the moment, can't remember the price now though.

My local Super Valu has an 8 pack of 500ml Bulmers cans on special offer at the minute for €12. So for the extra 25c a can, I think I'll stick to the tried and tested.

Yeah but bulmers is perhaps the worst cider available in teh country, if you dont find the others too sweet. This one happens to not be sweet which is pretty good.

    I don't drink cider, I've more educated tastes! ;)

I'd chance the Kopper if it was for myself, but the rest always drink Bullys.

Got 16 of these for €20 in tesco in Wexford today. There wasn't many on the shelf but there was a couple of boxes with 15 in them further down the isle.

First time having it, and it's not too bad. Nice with ice.

Picked up 30 of thee last night in Clearwater. No price on the shelf, but they scanned at 1.25. Still a bax left. It's a bit sweet for my tastes, but at that price I'll choke it down.

    Nice one OP.

    Naked apple is nice.
Dunnes have 3 for a tenner on craft ciders at the mo,orpers is delicious.JC's in swords stock a really good craft cider called macivors ,both medium and dry,2.99 a bottle.Little tip ,pop them in the freezer for 5-10 mins before drinking ,makes dry ciders taste even better, especially on a hot day.

I'm fairly sure I saw that Dunnes (Bandon Rd., Cork) had some other flavours of it for 2 for €3 yesterday. Was in a rush so by the time it registered in my head, I was too far away to go back and check.

My Dunnes has Tempted, Tempted with strawberry ,Stonewell and Orpers.Had the Stonewell before, gives me headaches so i got one of each of the others.I thought the Orpers was the best by far, nice crisp taste and a little carbonated, the Tempted i thought was nice but a little bland for the price you are paying,
