    How come the mileage isn't listed?

    Would be wary of that 1.6 engine unless its been religiously maintained

    I'd be wary even if it had documented evidence, far too many problems. Driven one and I like the engine, but I'd nearly completely avoid at this stage unless it was a brand new car tbh.

    Just back,
    It seems like its going perfect , 130000 miles which isn't too bad..
    Is the engine really that bad ?
    Should I do a history report ?

    130k miles is a fair bit on a 2008 was it serviced dead on 20k km or earlier? Did it idle smooth ? Was it smokey ? Was there any oil down the front of the engine ?

    It wasn't smokey and it idled smooth.
    We are taking a mechanic the next time if we decide to buy,
    You guys seem to be the only ones who are really against this engine , other forums don't menttion to avoid most say it's quite good..
    What would the common problems for this engine be.?

    Only other this were wary about is that we did a history check on the car, everything seems perfect 1st owner, never crashed. But it says that finance is still owed on the car ? Is this a definite no no ?

    Just got another email saying the finance on the car is cleared so don't have to worry about that now which is great

    I have a 07 one with half the mileage of that one I have it about 3 months. It's cost me fortune I'm not saying that one will be the same I'm just telling you from my experience. Common things that go wrong. Steel turbo pipe breaks going down the front of the engine about 200-300 for the part. Egr goes regularly enough according to my mechanic every 70k miles approx obviously there plenty last more and less than that mileage. That's 300 for the part. Suspension wears quickly front and rear bushes. Track rods. Like many diesels they can have injector problems turbo problems too.

    If you have any specific questions about the van just ask ? That van is cheap if you don't consider the mileage on it. If you don't mind spending a bit of money on it grand. If you expect it to do 60-65mpg it won't they do 50ish in the real world.
