Help - looking to source peat filters

    hi folks,

    any idea where i can source peat filters for a waste water treatment system?

    they need to be 2 modules and the equivalent to the bord na mona peat filter system.

    Unfortunately your choices are limited to a properly certified system, to my knowledge there is only one appropriately certified peat filter system here.

    Personally, I steer away from monopolies.

    it appears that i cant because that is what i have planing for!!!

    any other system would require me to back to planning for it!!!! absolutely not going down that route...

    I don't blame you not wanting to go back.

    I thought most LA's were over that view that "if that's the system which was proposed then that's the system that has to go in" attitude. I have found that if you put a good solid argument to the DOS proving that the system you want to install treats the effluents to the same degree or better than the previously proposed system, that they would accept it.

    But if you have done this without luck, you may be snookered into accepting what was proposed previously.
