My younger brother has decided he wants to buy a laptop to play minecraft and other games like so. He is only 12 years old and he is looking for a cheap-ish laptop.

Can anyone recommend a laptop that can run minecraft without lag and is quite cheap.

    Max budget is 300euro.

    Thanks in Advance. :)

There's a laptop forum that you can ask in.

With a €300 budget, you haven't got many options. It's pretty much all netbooks unless you go with second hand & refurbished ones. You could get something like this:
    http://www.laptopsdirect.ie/Acer_Aspire_V5-121_2GB_320GB_11.6_inch_Windows_8_Laptop_in_Black__NX.M83EK.001/version.asp
The AMD C-70 is much around the same performance as an Intel Atom CPU but has slightly better graphics. Looking at results, I'd say it could be still laggy.

You'll really want to bump that budget up €100 to get a more powerful CPU.

Can somebody tell me what would be the best laptop to buy for gaming, it's a surprise for my son. He plays war games and stuff, one of the games it called Dayz I think. He is always complaining about lag on his present laptop. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I was looking at Dell Alienware, but there seems to be problems with overheating!

Does it have to be a laptop? You can can spend the same/less on a desktop and get better performance.

Will have more luck in the laptop forum.
