Kids playroom needs to be painted and I just can't decide on what colour to paint it. I have 2 boys and a girl so it needs to be unisex . There is already a fair bit of green downstairs so that's out and I don't know if its the heat or old age but I am just drawing a blank at the mo:confused:

    All suggestions are appreciated :D

I painted mine Pale Peacock it's a beautiful warm colour on and even though it's part of the blue family it isn't boyish. It's the Dulux range in my memory. I have boys and girls too and they love it. I bought washable a must in a play room as you probably know sticky fingers everywhere. But I have to say it's painted 18 months now and still looks well.

Colour sounds good, how bright is it in the room ? What style window coverings did you use, I found this fabric in Hickeys, might make up some Roman blinds with it

How do you think it would work

Painted our childs room's walls a fairly neutral colour, but painted some of the furniture a mix of sky blue and soft green, looks nice.

The neutral walls mean you can change furniture, colours, from boy to girl etc without needing to repaint the room. I hate painting.

    Sounds really nice

Room is currently French white and furniture is a mix of gloss white and gloss green ( ex display from a showroom ) and I just thinking that I should paint walls a bright colour but maybe the blinds and cabinets might be enough with a fresh coat of paint on the walls.

My room is roughly about 13 ft by 10 and has one good big window. I chose a cream curtain with the top end in a sort of velour finish in golds and beiges and my flooring is a pale oak all my skirting doors etc are does in a satinwood White. That fabric is gorgeous beautiful for a playroom and gives you tonnes of options if you tire of a colour. It would work very well with the pale peacock if you choose it

Will pop out to pick up a tester, room is about the same size as your but with 3x3ft windowsil so think that lighter colour might work.
    Thanks for the suggestion
