Now that i found a new club i was wondering what should i do regarding getting a new GUI number etc.

If you join a new club you will get a completely new GUI number from your new club. It has to be this way because the first 4 digits are the club number and the last 4 are your membership number in that club. It's not like moving from one phone provider to another and bringing your number with you.

You transfer your old handicap. Your handicap is a GUI handicap, not a club handicap. Print off your GUI handicap certificate from golfnet.ie using your old GUI number and give it to your new club.

If it's lapsed for more than 6 months then you'll have to submit 3 cards.

Unless it's changed recently,... from the GUI

That's what I thought AJ but I got an offer to join a club until the end of the year and my h/c would have lapsed since end of november. He told me once it went over 3 months i had to resubmit 3 cards again.
