Age card acceptance? & Luggage question?

    Hello,

I am going to Fuerteventura from the 20th for 2 weeks and I am wondering if the shops will accept an Irish age card as a form of ID as my passport photo doesnt look anything like me. Also I am wondering would I be allowed to bring whey protein in my luggage? its in the original container and all.

    Thanks,

Nothing to stop you bringing whey protien. I suspect most shops won't bother to check ID unless you really look under age.

If the whey protein is in your packed luggage, it should be ok on the way over but you may have to answer a few questions if you're bag is checked coming home & it's open/half used. They do it for a lot of things like that.
As for the age card - it's a tricky one coz it's not actually recognised outside Ireland as it's not an official form of ID for other countries so you might have a couple of problems. I know you say your passport photo doesn't look like you but if it looks enough like you for airlines to allow you to travel on it & you'll have it with you anyway, then I'd just use it & save the hassle.
    Enjoy your hol!

Thanks for the reply :). Yeah I might carry them both around so of they need to they can see they're both the same name and both the same D.O.B. The picture in my passport is when I was 14/15 and now I'm 18 so I've changed a bit since then.

    Thanks,

    Daspendy

I'm sure they see that often enough, people who look a bit different due to age, whether young or old, on their ID.
