Looking for a new daily driver and was wondering if anyone can recommend anything in this class.

Would be looking to insure it alongside my current car

Good option is Caddy or Inca. Scudo good too if you don't mind the style, 3 front seat a plus. Berlingo is not good in comparison.

Just after something reliable and good on fuel really.

Money saving exercise to fund w/e future weekend cars I have etc. Sick of having my current one chipped/scraped and raping me on petrol on longer journeys.

Plus job I'm in having the ability to carry a few boxes wouldn't hurt

So a 2013 donkey if you will and will be on commercial tax.

Also any insight on insuring both vehicles on one policy would be welcome

You won't get commercial insurance on a private car policy. You won't even get to transfer a car policy directly onto a van - you'll have to cancel the private and start a new commercial policy.

New Daily you say? Now that's a van worth having..... Probably too big and thirsty though :p

Maybe something much older and indirect?

Also, better make sure you can tax and insure it first before you buy!

A berlingo with an xud. Won't go far wrong if you find a clean one

as has already been mentioned a caddy or an inca. They are the best vans to go for with that budget.

One or two 03-04 new shape 1.9 berlingos on DD

    Look tidy enough

Shouldn't be hard to find a good one, there was buckets of them sold. Peugeot Partner are the same van, different badge. Nothing stopping you doing an DGT on it too and tinkering with the fuel pump for poke laaaad :P

We had a few 1.9 berlingos 02 older models and also kangoo 1.9 dci around 02 year. They were all good vans caused little trouble. Kangoos were probably slightly better. They were all English. Main problem with them is there as slow as a wet week and I don't exactly fast cars but there alot quicker than a 1.9. Berlingo. I think they do early 40s mpg wise so not that good. Seem to be well able to take abuse to not saying op won't mind it although one of the berlingos was written off when someone got a puncture in it

Ideally my ego would love a 1.6 2004+ Berlingo but alas my wallet disagrees.

Not too fussed on brand/looks just mpg reliability and comfort for day to day use

    2k upper upper limit
