My sister would kill me if she knew I put this up but she is 37 and we are planning her hen. She is very quite and it took a lot of persuasion for her to have a hen! She has a very close bunch of friends so we are all going to a five star for the night for Champagne Afternoon Tea and Dinner and Cocktails. We are going the Memory Book and Goodie Bags but can anyone think or something else we could do. Defo No games, quizzes or willys!!!!

What about going for an afternoon in the spa with some more champers?
Or for mine,I'm hoping to have a Pamper Party. Beauty therapists come to your house(or apartments or accommodation where you are staying for it) and do some treatments on everybody, some even bring chocolate fountain etc.
I've also heard good reports from Cocktail making lessons!

I'm not too sure if this would suit location wise (it's in Dublin) or the brides taste but this Saturday I'm going on a hen where we will be making knickers!!

The company that runs it does other stuff craft stuff including making your own perfume/cosmetics etc. I was speaking to the bridesmaid organising it and she said there'll be nibbles and bubbles there for the day too. It's something different and should be fun!

Think the company that do the knicker making is poshfizz.com

Would definitely recommend a spa experience. If she is quiet and not into a fuss, time spent relaxing and being pampered with her friends and of course sister might be a dream hen outing for her.

I think you can book through them but it's the Craft Lounge that do the craft workshops.

Was I the only one expecting a hen in the 50+ range! 30's... sheesh. 'Older' my eye.

Anyway, If it's a 5 star, there will be a spa on site. If she likes those, start off the day early in there.

If you're near the sea or a lake, maybe a group tour of the area on a boat?

One of my friend was recently at a hen night in the Glen Royal Hotel in Maynooth. The package included a beauty treatment, meal and over night stay.
My friend is a professional woman who would have high standards and she told me the treatment and food were good.
She also said the staff could not do enough for the group also.

here is the website http://www.glenroyalhotelkildare.com and look under special offers.

Now, I'm not sure how much your budget is, but these are some mad things just off the top of my head (no idea of costs, mind):

An hour in a recording studio (if she likes to sing)
    Professional makeup and photoshoot
Personal Shopper/ Makeover in one of the big shops
    Hot air balloon trip
If she's artsy/crafty, maybe a painting/pottery/felt/handbag/dressmaking workshop, and then she can keep whatever piece she's made
    Cake design
Tarot card/ fortune teller (just for fun!)
A cruise on the Shannon (or wherever)
    Horse show (horse riding?)
    Trip to the Zoo!! :)
Weather permitting, a picnic in the Botanic gardens
    Concert in the NCH
    A music class
    Going to a play

Ok, now I'm scraping the barrel...

I suppose it all depends on what she likes, what she gets the chance to do in her free time, and what she would love to do but maybe never got the chance...

PS: I mean ONE of these options, not ALL of them!!
