    Hi all,

I'm selling my Ares Tavor / Tar-21 assault rifle with 9x 120 round mid caps mags and a matching x4 Acog/fibre optic red dot scope. Comes with original boxes for both the scope and AEG.

This is the long barrel version that comes with a 510mm inner barrel, not the more common short barrel version. It's a gem of a rifle and a brilliant all-rounder with excellent range, very accurate, high rate of fire and is yet extremely compact.

(Takes 9.6v NiMH numchuck sized batteries, will include one with deans connectors fitted)

This AEG has recently had some decent upgrades in the last few months but has only been skirmished for about three hours since all the upgrades were done. This was only one of my back up weapons in case anything ever happened to my main DMR, hence such little use.

    Upgrades:

    - Madbull V2 510mm 6.03mm tightbore barrel
    - Brand new Madbull red hop rubber (60 degree to handle higher rate of fire) with H nub (not wishbone)
    - Full metal tooth SHS piston
    - Element air nozzle
    - Element aluminium piston head
    - Completely rewired with silver wiring and deans connectors
    - New trigger mirco switch
    - Matrix 3000 turbo motor (cost around €75 to get in from Evike in the States)
    - Can't remember if there's a new Element non ported (Type 0) cylinder gone into it, if not, then the original was perfect and probably polished and put back in.
    - Gearbox was completely stripped, lubed, greased and new O-ring put on the piston head (even though the last O-Ring probably had less than 1000 bbs fired with it).

    Unique modifications:

    - Reduced the size and exposure of the mag release button to avoid accidental release (see photo).

    - Custom-made top rail riser, allowing for better use of sights and scopes and permanently removed the rear sight which was useless
    - Custom paint job on both AEG and scope. Also several layers of matt lacquer applied to protect and harden the finish.
    - Braided paracord rear sling loop

    - Hop dial has been tightened so once it's set it won't move.
    - Fire selector has been stiffened so that you don't accidentally knock it back to safe.

    Performance:

    - Crono'd last Sunday at 321 fps with a brand new spring, not sure which spring ended up in it but it's either Guarder, Systema or Prometheus (has a quick spring change feature too).
    - Firing between 16-19 bbs per second on a Madbull crono.

    Known issues:

    - "Semi" doesn't work, only "safe" and "full auto" work perfectly. When left in "semi" position it fires on fully auto but inconsistently (best avoided on semi, probably a simple fix but I don't have time or patience to strip it again).
    - Few scratches and scuffs on the paint work which only adds character to the paint work ;)

    History:

I bought this AEG secondhand here on Boards last summer but it's not the same AEG anymore after all the upgrades gone into it.

    Reason for selling:

I have two new project AEG's to fund and want the cash to put towards them.

    Price:

Customised Ares Tavor (with around €150-€200 worth of upgrades)
x4 Acog Scope with fibre optic red dot (http://www.jdairsoft.net/product/b38f1e3f-d124-45fa-9fdd-7975405fc473.aspx)
Nine 120 round mid cap magazines
Selling as a complete lot only, will not split. Basically, you're paying for the upgrades and scope and getting the rest for free ;)

    €320 ovno

    Payment options:

Cash, PayPal (you pay fees), postal order, cheque (collection on clearing only). No trades!. Collection in Kilkenny area or delivery can be arranged Nationwide by courier for €10.

    Any questions, just ask.

    Cheers

I can now confirm that there are no issues with this AEG anymore!

It is firing perfectly on both semi and full auto. As I suspected, it was just a simple fix.

This AEG is provisionally sold outside of this forum, so I'm withdrawing it from here.

Can a MOD please mark it as withdrawn, please.

    Thanks
