Employment opportunities in genealogy in Ireland are few and far between so I though some people on here might be interested in this.

Any development like this is a very positive sign. The Ryans on the Board are heavy-hitters, the type of people the industry needs and I guess quite capable of banging a head or two. Along with the other ‘status’ names on the board, IARC could become a very influential entity. Not yet clear to me from the PR & website what the business model is, (it’s a bit all things to all men at the moment, research, teaching, etc) but if it is done right and they get some good digitization projects underway or convince some other industry players to partner/share it could be very good. I just hope they do not fall into the trap (like all the others) of boasting about their millions of records.

Brennans Row, with a Ryan granny, will automatically be disqualified from applying :p:D
