Hey guys, quick query for you here...

I have posted here before lol, but after getting abuse off of one or two people recently, I have been wondering, has anyone else found that being in a small town, the other gay people locally tend to be even more catty and nasty?

or is it just me lol

I'm gonna be 'catty' and say, no need for the lolz, does not make sense to have them in there:rolleyes:

    What sort of abuse?

As for catty and nasty gay folk in a small town, I guess so, but does tend to be people in their late teens and early 20's, same in big cities too. Good few young gay folk in my small town now and of course, they know everything bla bla bla, but it does pass with age. Take no notice.

    Hope this helps. :)

haha suppose its true - maybe part of it is due to people moving away in mid twenties - leaving youngers and the older folk who couldn't move away...

some people in smaller towns cant accept change, which is actually saddening as we are in a diverse culture!
perhaps maybe you should keep to yourself in such surroundings and express yourself in such cities as dublin or galway?
i live in a small village and people never bother me about this as i dont integrate with the community, i always feel accepted in dublin, galway or other major towns!!
    head up!
    you are who you are!
    regards
