    Fionnuala Britton will not take part in the World Athletics Championships next month as she continues to recover from a chest infection. The Wickow athlete will take an “extended break” from running and miss the championships in Moscow in order to focus on another successful defence of her European cross-country title later in the year.

    Thats a shame, seems to have had the infection for a prolonged period of time aswell. Hopefully shes not cooked and will be ok for december.
    I see from the schedule that the womens marathon is on the first day of events and the mens is on the second last day. 10,000m final is on the first day too.

    Seems to be struggling to recover from that, it's the same thing that had her out of the European Team Champs. It's a real shame.
