Air Con Leak

My 2002 Volvo S80 air con is not working and I've checked the compressor and the clutch seems to be clicking in and out.

My guess is that the compressor may not switch on if the pressure is to low. Halfords tester it and did not get a reading and recommended i get it checked for leaks.

I've googled it and cant seem to find anywhere that does detection.

    Im based in Mullingar

Can you not ring around some local garages and ask if they do air con leak detection and recharge ? If they do then probably the equipment they have for recharging will detect leaks also.

i did, they all half the facilitys to refill but not to check leaks.

Apprently its an ultraviolet die that's added to see exactly where its leaking.

    I understand.

Still, could they not recommend some other place to perhaps go ?
