Hi, I'm looking for a good tablet (Android) with my budget of €150-€200....maybe €250
I want it mainly used for internet access, storing files like pictures and watching videos so it'll need to have a descent resolution. I would like to download apps from the Google play store? I'm looking for one that has a USB port and SD port as I have a 32GB USB and several SD card's. Maybe one with a camera on the front so can be used for Skype calls? With Bluetooth and WiFi?
Also what's the best internet security and do I download it from google play store?
Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Hey, not to hi-jack your thread, but i'm looking for pretty much the same.
I might be able to stretch to around €300. Hard to know where to start looking...

It is tricky...I was looking for something similar, but I've ended up buying a chromebook as my needs changed a bit.

I originally bought an ainol novo 10 hero II in Feb which was fairly decent. The price was good (around €200 I think)...it had a few problems with lagging but then I upgraded the software and it's now much better. I[m now selling it on as I won't use it anymore (if anyone is interested?)

Anyway, neither of you have mentioned what size tablet you are looking for. If you are happy with 7 inch, a nexus 7 is probably the way to go. It doesn't have an sd card slot, but apart from that they are very good. (There is possibly a new one being released quite soon so keep an eye out for another week or so for deals)

If you want a 10 inch, it'll be hard to find something new in the price range that can do everything you want. Nexus 10, galaxy tab 2 or note 10.1 seem to be the best out there.

    Hi guys,

Are you looking for something around 10" dimensions, or would 7" suffice? If the latter, you can't really go wrong with a Google Nexus. I hear there's a new one coming out shortly.

As I'm also considering getting a tablet soon, and I'm not sure the 7" would be big enough, I'm veering more towards the Galaxy Note 10.1. Not sure I'll shell out the money for that though.

    Hi,
I'm looking for a 10 inch. I think I've decided on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1inch Tablet - Silver (16GB, WiFi, Android 4.0) from Amazon for £229
The tablet is for my mother, so avoiding anything too flash or complicated.

Just trying to decide fully now before i pull the trigger.
At the moment reviews seem to keep mentioning the Asus Transformer TFT 300, and the Toshiba AT 300 ( i think) as competitors. Get the feeling Samsung is probably safest bet.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have recently moved to Australia so with currency change I could either stick with my budget or spend a bit more if you know what I mean :p I think I'm going for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 which is $248 which is less than €190. I don't think I want a 10" but there is an 8" Tab 3 but its $100 more :( I'm gonna have a look at some on Monday. Ill let you know what I decide when i get one. I've heard the nexus 7 is a good tab but without external memory and no SD port it's not for me.

Hey everyone, There had been such a palava with the tab but finally sorted. I did have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 but an OTG cable didn't work with it so the store exchanged that tab for the SGTab3 8.0 and it is a good tablet. The OTG cable works with the 8.0 and 10.0 but they seemed to have skipped one....the 7.0 :-/ Samsung are going to release a cable but not until a few months time. The cable didn't even work with the Nexus 7.
