I've never started a thread on after hours before but I was inspired by this story. After a week of seeing a lot of anti-social behaviour in my area, brought on by the good weather, especially binge drinking and a huge amount of littering on Balbriggan beach. And hearing about scumbags killing elderly brothers or leaving elderly dogs to die outside animal shelters, it is nice to see some basic human decency for a change. A family from Rush and some neighbours helped rescue 30 sharks who were in danger of dying on the beach. So well done to them. :)

Today on the way home from work, I popped into a supermarket. As I was locking up my pushbike I noticed that one of the links that the height restriction barrier had opened and was therefore hanging precariously.
I informed the staff, showed them the issue and went on my way.

Last Friday I showed two women how to put air in their tyres at a petrol station.

Two good deeds done, took less than five minutes and made myself feel better.

99% of the people in the world are decent, helpful souls. It's just the scumbag minority that make all the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

People are good, and well done OP for a positive thread.

A devout Catholic woman down the road recently took in a homeless man, gave him dinner and new clothes, allowed him use the bath and have a sleep before he went on his way. A catholic who practices what she preaches :)

Will try to find some good deed to do today. Looks around....will check in later! :)

I brought some seals clubbing with me on Saturday Night. Didn't get an article in the paper about it though.

Don't let them fool you! If a shark had the chance, he'd eat you and everyone you ever cared about.

    I hate everyone.

Saving 30 sharks does nothing for my faith in the human race.
