Bank Holiday predictably restricted numbers but some quality darts nevertheless. In form players Joe Byrne and Shane O'Connor eventually emerged finalists. In a high scoring scoring tit for tat tussle both players recorded maximums in the last leg. Shane's superior scoring ultimately proved decisive but Joe pushed him all the way. Well done lads.

Struggling a bit with the numbers but a brilliant display of darts from a quality field. Exceptional all round standard( Best I have seen anywhere throughout the country in a long time and I watch a lot of darts) Saw at least half a dozen 15 --18 dart legs and remember games are 601 Double Start. Spectacular. Notable performances on a memorable night from such as Karl Clarke, Ryan Maher , Anto McCracken, Terry Meehan , Joe Byrne, Austin Hickey, Shane O'Connor, Tom O'Connor and John Burke (15 and 16 legs games in a match he actually lost). Despite being hard pressed in several games the eventual deserving winner(Again) was the exceptional Shane O'Connor who defeated Anto McCracken in the final. Congratulation to all the participants for their contribution to such an incredible night of darts.

Sorry for delay in posting -- Busy weekend. Still struggling with numbers but unbelievable overall standard nevertheless. Numerous sub 18 darts legs -- 2 legs 15 darts (Anto McCracken and John Seagrave) and an incredible 13 darter from Glenn Spearing (112--180--139--120 including bouncer --Bull). Standard rising week by week. Augurs well for future of Dublin darts and confirms my contention that players need to play at a higher level regularly. So come on lads give it ago and improve your game.
