Enjoyed it on the whole bar a few typical ffs moments. Nice to see the back story of Warlo but a pity they did what they did with Sookie's Pa, didn't like that bit at all. Getting a bit Prisoner Cell Block H with the inmates, is Jessica a young Queen Bea maybe?

    Just kill her Eric!!!!

Enjoying it more than last season but a little disappointed Warlow wasn't a bad ass like I was expecting.

Surprised to see 3 of the fairies killed so quick also, I expected them to recover.

They could actually just do away with the Alseed story line as it is brutal and just concentrate on the Vampire one in my opinion.

The first three and the last two episodes feel like they were made by entirely different creative teams such is the leap in quality the season has took. The series hasn't been this enjoyable in years and apart from Warlow's silly wig and the Alcide side-story most everything is working.

If Alcide's daddy is about to help Sam and fam then it might even give that story enough juice to warrant being passable.

Think how much better it could be if they took out the Alcide crap, got rid of the terry wanting some bloke to kill him nonsense, and use that time on the main 2 storylines which are working well at the moment.

I can never understand why shows do that out of loyalty to the cast members that need to be gotten rid of. They copped on with Hoyt, there are several others that they need to do the exact same thing with.

I thought Terry's storyline took a huge step towards bring interesting with him contracting his mate to kill him without the knowledge of Arlene. Before that it was annoying but that scene turned it.

Yeah, it's gotten a lot darker this season. Still the humor but now its black.
Alcide and Terry are not strong enough characters to work outside of the main plot and suffer when kept in for no apparent reason. TBH I don't care enough about them. Stick with Eric, Pam and the vamps. I don't really care much about Sookie anymore either.

The Sookie storyline is fine. If it was just vampires pretending to be edgy all the time the show would be absolutely mind-numbing.

To be honest it looks like most of those vampires deserve to be locked up and I feel plenty of sympathy for the governor and I doubt that was Harris' intention when she wrote this storyline.

I doubt Harris is responsible for the story lines of 4 seasons but you might be right in that that wasn't the intention of whoever wrote it.
The TV show had departed from the books a lot and not for the better. Apart from keeping Layfiette, I like him.
