I'm looking for a waterside venue where I can get my own caterer. I want to steer clear of a 3/4 course run of the mill meal package that is built in with most venues.

    Any suggestions welcome :)

Have you asked any venues about different menus? Most will be delighted to do something different, its just that 99% of couples want 3/4 meals, so that's why they offer them.

Oops sorry just spotted the waterside bit you wanted, this isn't by the water.

Turns out this self catering lark is very expensive :(
Hiring tables, chairs, tableware etc adds up to a lot, looking at 11k :(

There's a castle somewhere near fermoy- I can't remember what it's called though! As far as I know it's self catering, but I imagine they have furniture! It's worth a google!

We organised all our own wedding, 130 people fed with all rental etc for half that.
    What area you based in?

there are some venues that supply everything except the caterers which you can choose yourself. Examples would be Ballybeg house, Trudder house, Lisnavagh house, borris house and possibly Clonabreany house.

Hi Niallem. Did you have a marquee wedding for that cost?
