Hi all! im just looking for some advice with insurance in general :) Been on the road for a year now and im a 20 year old male. Im looking to move up from my 1.4 focus since its quite under powered :P So im just looking for some suggestions for a suitable replacement :) Im thinking along the lines of a 1.6 saloon so do people have any suggestions :)
Also just a side bar, would it be cheaper if i insured maybe a two seat car for instance a two seater golf TDi?
    Thank all!

Have you a full license? Whats your budget? What kind of mileage do you do?

Sorry i should have included that! yeah I've my full licence nearly a year now but mileage wont be too big really around 10,000 km. My budget is about €1200.

Your mileage wouldn't really warrant a diesel if you ask me, but that's just my opinion, at the minute I can't think of any decent 1.6 saloons but I'll come back in the morning

Going from a 1.4 hatch to a 1.6 saloon isn't going to give you much of a performance boost, you'll just have a bigger number on the boot.

Agreed. Decent Japanese car like Mitsubishi or Toyota 1.3L - 1.4L would perform same or better than 1.6L Ford & Seat & VW
I have serious doubts about getting cheap insurance for a 1.6L vehicle being 20 year old male with one year driving experience
Stick with your guns for another few years and save some money. Impress your girlfriends by showing your six-pack instead :)
