    Hi,
    Hoping for some advice...
Im currently on Jobseekers Benefit this will be my 3rd week on it. I have been unemployed for a year and finished a level 5 course in May. ( Did'nt qualify for SUSI 12/13 grant because I have already a Level 5 ,2 years before) Im going to be doing a Level 6 course.

Question is: Can I still apply for the SUSI grant while on JB??
And can I still receive JB till I get my Grant?
Broke and not dependant on Parents.
    Thanks.

You can apply for SUSI grant but once you start college you will receive no jobseekers payment

You would be much better off applying for Back to Education Allowance and also to SUSI pay for the fee grant

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Hi, I'm starting a level 5 course in sept, but I have a level 5 from FÁS, I'm on Job seekers allowance? Will I qualify for the susi grant?

And does anybody know how much they give you each month.

    Thank you.

In general, you will not get a grant for repeating a year or attending a course at a level that does not represent progression from what you have done before.

If you have a level 5 already they may not give you a grant for level 5 again. Here is detailed info on the grant system.
