Can my mam and dad have the same pps number? they say they do but that my mother has a W at the end of her's, so she's two letters at the end and he has one? Is this possible? My mam is a house wife and hasn't paid PAYE or anything in maybe 20 yrs.
Would there be any forms I'd find her PPS number ?
The Susi online form won't let me put the same numbers in for both with an extra letter for my mam.

I don't think grantsonline.ie form will let me use this old number, is that correct? So annoying, My mother is a house wife no income, so could I just leave her off the form?

You would be better off calling or emailing them pointing out the glitch in their system.

Your Mother would have the same number from when she did work & the W would be her second letter.

Lots of women of that age didn't have their own PPSN. She can get a new one now if she wishes.

However SUSI should accept the W one, have you tried it online?

BTW, the letter was always W. For wife I presume.

I've tried it online, but I filled in my mother's first, without the W then put in my Dad's. I can't seem to put in his because it's already got my mam's in with his number, like you can't delete one or they won't take it with 2 letters, I'll ring them or ask my gf to have a go, might be something silly I'm missing.
